This spout pouch is positioned for sauerkraut brine and similar acidic, salt-bearing liquids in German and EU food-service or retail formats. The standard food-contact structure can be PET/VMPET/PE for barrier and stiffness, or a mono-PE recyclable option where the buyer’s PPWR route prioritises material simplification. The product-contact sealing layer is food-contact grade PE; the spout and cap are PP. Capacity runs from 1 l to 5 l, with custom volumes reviewed against filling line, headspace and handling. The pouch format supports stand-up or lay-flat presentation depending on fill level and outer case. Compliance documentation can be discussed against the final specification, and the design can include a custom silhouette if the outer case and filling line allow it.
For filling, the pouch is supplied with the spout positioned for automatic or semi-automatic spouted-pouch lines; spout diameter, cap style and fitment are matched to the customer’s filler, capper and case pack. The flexible body handles brine without rigid-container weight, and the spout allows controlled dispensing for food-service use. Printing is 10-colour rotogravure, suitable for German-language artwork, batch coding areas and EU label content. Surface finish can be matte or gloss, with registered graphics around the spout and seal zones. Artwork checks cover bleed, barcode placement, fill marks and spout clearance before plates are released. This keeps the pack aligned with retail shelf and food-service back-of-house requirements while staying within a flexible-packaging format.
Typical MOQ is from 10,000 pcs per SKU, to be confirmed by capacity, structure and spout choice; lower-run trials can be reviewed for new filling-line projects. Sampling starts with a digital artwork proof, followed by a physical pouch sample for fit, fill and spout check after artwork approval. Lead time is normally 3–5 weeks after sample approval and plate confirmation, depending on film availability and printing schedule. For EU buyers, we can review mono-PE or PE/EVOH recyclable-oriented structures, source-reduction options and PPWR-aligned design choices; food-contact compliance documentation is discussed against the final specification. Please share filling temperature, brine composition, target shelf life, spout thread and case pack so the specification can be fixed before quotation.
